We do not treat people fairly, good or bad. Many people who do little harm and a great deal of good receive nothing (or worse) for their efforts. Many people who do a great deal of harm are never caught, corrected, or stopped. Or if they are, it comes much too late.
We do not live in a just world. We are the only arbiters of justice and we have always been prejudiced, corruptible, fallible, and often simply impotent in our arbitration.
